Through the Shadows©

So here I am again, another class, another assignment, and this time I thought I'd have fun and develop what is alternatively called "Stuck in Afterlife". I might end up using "Stuck in Afterlife" as the title, but right now, this one's presentable tomorrow - I'm supposed to be pitching my story.
Awesome movie, but the whole mac thing got on my nerves bigtime. Plus it was kind of an ironic thing to have, given the message. Oh, and Bot has a new trailer. Looks like a relatively-ok animated cheesy movie. It looks okay, but it's cheesy! Enough cheese! Haha!
Jean Khan© of Sudan
Another concept: Jean Khan© of Sudan, is a story about a rich son of a french nobleman and a british lady; man who grew up
travelling the eastern cultures his whole youth. He inherited the riches of his parents, both captial and elegance, not to mention wits.
So basically, a smartass french beatnik who travels the world and discovers new things, gets to know people of diferrent cultures. This particular picture refers to a story where he gets all his money stolen and being forced to work at a travelling circus for 4 months until he finds his money again and is able to part ways with the circus.
Maybe one day...
The New Artifact Hats: "Temple"
Now I know this is a tad unorthodox, but bear with me. Anyone who knows me at all will have noticed that I love fedoras. I've been gathering materials and not being a chickenshit about wanting to make my own hats, so here is my first official go at a hat. Whatcha all think?
Next I'll be making even more interesting fedoras. Stay tuned. (Don't worry, I'm still painting!)
"Temple"
Tonak Silverbelly body, 2 6/8 inch brim ; 5 3/8 inch crown ; 1 1/2 inch ribbon, white windcord w/ vintage tribal button. No stiffner ; very floppy. Center dent, tight front pinch 3/4
Stuck in Afterlife©
This is my latest painting, one of few that will be going to a show at Blow Salon in Berkeley. I'll post a flier soon.
Lotsa exciting thigs have been happening, which I'm going to stay tight-lipped about because usually when I spill the beans about anything, I end up not doing it or never finishing it.
Have you guys seen Kung Fu Panda? If you haven't, go see it! It was super-awesome! Dreamworks finally caught up to Pixar!

Salty Dogs
It's been a while since I posted, hasn't it? I just got back from a wonderful getaway with my wonderful and gorgeous girlfriend in Monterey. It was awesome - we stayed at a beach resort and drove golf carts back to get to our room. I had the best time by the old pacific, and am in love, which means I'm inspired.
Acrylic on 100lb Bristol. I made these two characters up tonight. The short one is a Pirate Israeli who's very frustrated because he feels misunderstood. He's a family man. The tall one may seem stupid on occasion, but is actually much smarter than the shorter one would ever give him credit for. They don't have names yet. This pic isn't signed yet because I'm not sure how I'll frame it yet. Also, a quick doodle of an ugly long-nosed man.
Oh, and hey, to those who read this who share an interest or two, here's a few opinions: Check out this legend-in-the-making book that's coming out this December. The first second I saw the ad I became ecstatic! They're finally making a LucasArts book! God, how I wanna make 2D adventure games for a living.
And look at the "Bolt" ad on that pic. Isn't that sad? A friend of mine told me that the animators have only just started animating the movie....And it's coming out in December! Nice one! Hahaha.
